Wolves coach Davis: Strong team for Leeds Cup tie

Wolves coach Steve Davis has confirmed that he will be picking a strong team as they take on Leeds United in the Carabao Cup.

The two Premier League sides go head to head, as they look to distract themselves from the relegation battle in the league.

Wolves, who are still without a permanent manager until Julen Lopetegui officially takes over after the World Cup, have Davis in caretaker charge.

“Our approach is always the same,” Davis told the official Wolves website.

“To get a good result and win the game, and the Carabao Cup will be no different.

“We’re trying to approach it in the right way, but we’ve also got to bear in mind that we’re coming off the back of Brighton at the weekend, and we’ve got Arsenal coming up on Saturday.

“We’ll have to look at the strongest possible team we can put with Saturday also in mind. But our approach won’t change, whatever the competition or whatever the situation is.

“Whether it’s the Carabao, the FA Cup or the Premier League, we know we want to win the game and we will do everything we can to try to win the game and get through.”
