Tom Glick named Chelsea business president

Tom Glick has joined the front office at Chelsea.

Glick has been named as the club’s new president of business following the departures of board members Marina Granovskaia, Bruce Buck and Petr Cech.

Glick, who was previously Manchester City’s chief commercial and operating officer, will assume responsibility for day-to-day operations at Chelsea.

He told the club’s official website: “Chelsea FC is an iconic sports institution, known and admired all over the world.

“I have been very impressed with the vision and mission of Todd Boehly and Clearlake. They have the Chelsea community at the heart of everything they do.

“We have a huge opportunity here to enhance performance across the board, on behalf of everyone we serve.”

While co-owner Todd Boehly, the club’s chairman and co-controlling owner, said: “Tom’s successful track record as a leader and innovator at several respected and winning sport organisations made him the obvious choice for this position.”
