Newcastle United defender Fabian Schar says he has never been part of a team with so much spirit.
The Magpies star is reveling in the fact that they are currently in the form of their lives.
Newcastle find themselves in the top four in the Premier League heading into the World Cup break under the tutelage of Eddie Howe.
“The turning point was definitely the takeover of the new owners and the new manager, who has done an incredible job so far,” Schar told 20 minutes during international duty with Switzerland.
“In addition, the team spirit is better than I’ve ever experienced.
“But it all comes with extremely hard work.”
“The schedule demands a lot from us, but I love playing for Newcastle and I love representing Switzerland at a World Cup,” he added.
“I don’t really care about the tight schedule.”
