Newcastle United boss Eddie Howe says Alexander Isak’s recovery is on track.
Howe was always keen to give him as much time as he needed to get back to his best. And, aided by the World Cup break, Isak should feature in one of the two friendly matches lined up for December.
Since last week Isak has also had a positive scan on the muscle injury and is on track to return soon.
Howe said: “I’m not sure whether he’ll train with us initially. He had a scan the other day on his injury and it looks good.
“It looks like it’s healed but now the process starts of building him up and making sure he’s robust enough to come through training. We hope by the time the games starts, he’s available for selection.”
