Leeds United manager Jesse Marsch has sent his final message to the club’s fans after the Premier League concluded its pre-World Cup action.
The American has overseen a steady improvement in the team’s fortunes since he took over from Marcelo Bielsa late last season.
Recent wins have helped Leeds move up the table, although they are still within range of the relegation zone.
“Still angry about how we let it slip yesterday [losing 4-3 to Tottenham] – it’s not how we wanted to finish before the break,” he tweeted.
“But with a bit of time to reflect, there have been so many positives this season and there’s so much more to come.
“The young players have progressed well and will benefit from this break to work on lots of areas of their game before we’re back as a group to improve defensively and in every phase of the game. #ALAW #MOT.”
