Manchester United are preparing bid for Benfica striker Goncalo Ramos.
The Sun says United have already made contact with the forward’s representatives.
The 21-year-old has scored eight goals in 12 games for the Portuguese side so far this season.
It is believed that United will look to bring in a forward, with Cristiano Ronaldo still looking to leave the club and Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial currently injured.
Newcastle were keeping an eye on Ramos in the summer window as Eddie Howe’s side looked for a striker, but they instead signed Alexander Isak for £63million.
