Former Inter Milan midfielder Gigi Di Biagio has sung the praises of his old club this season.
Di Biagio says Simone Inzaghi has taken the team to a new level.
“Inter have dominated the league for at least ten weeks,” Di Biagio told La Gazzetta dello Sport.
“I was at the stadium for the Supercoppa, I was impressed by the intensity and the quality of the Inter game. Inzaghi was very good at quickly taking the team to a new dimension, after the Scudetto with (Antonio) Conte unlocked the lead.”
On Alessandro Bastoni, former Italy U21 coach Di Biagio added: “It was difficult to make a mistake with him, today I think he is among the best defenders in Europe for defensive qualities and in the setting phase. He will be a leader of the national team for a long time.”
