Cirjan scores as Arsenal defeat Monaco in Premier League International Cup

Arsenal defeated AS Monaco last in the Premier League International Cup.

Played out at Boreham Wood FC’s home stadium, the Gunners won 2-1 on the night – their first victory at this level in Europe in two years.

Catalin Cirjan put Arsenal ahead before substitute Jack Henry-Francis struck to make it 2-0. ASM eventually scored to settle the score at 2-1.

Arsenal brought on schoolboys Ethan Nwaneri and Myles Lewis-Skelly in the second-half.

Nathan Butler-Oyedeji started up front, while Charles Sagoe Jr was brought into the side with Khayon Edwards on the bench.
