Brighton boss Roberto de Zerbi is happy for Alexis Mac Allister over his Argentina squad.
The midfielder was named in Argentina’s squad for Qatar this afternoon.
He has been in fine form and could hope to force his way into the side during the tournament.
Argentina play Saudi Arabia, Mexico and Poland in the group stages.
Albion boss De Zerbi said: “I’m happy that Mac Allister, Caicedo, Sanchez and others are playing in the World Cup.
“Most important competition and for us it’s an honour to have eight players who can play in the World Cup.
“I’m sorry for Dunk and Welbeck but for the other players I’m very happy and we have to be happy – the fans, team and club, the coaches.”
