​Bournemouth owner Derim in talks to sell club to American consortium

A US-based consortium interested in a buy-out of Premier League side Bournemouth.

The American influence in the Premier League looks set to grow in the next few months.

According to the Daily Mail, the Cherries could have American owners in the near future.

Russian-born owner Maxim Demin is giving serious consideration to selling the club.

The owner does have British citizenship, but he has appointed US-based firm Montminy & Co to find him a buyer.

A businessman, based out of Las Vegas is said to be at the head of a consortium that includes those who invest in ice hockey and other American sports.

Talks are underway, and if a deal happens then half of the Premier League clubs would have American owners.
