Arsenal boss Arteta frustrated over 'volatile and uncertain' selection problems

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta admits that managing player absences is proving challenging.

The Gunners, like most teams in the Premier League, are dealing with the dual threat of players missing games through injury and positive COVID-19 tests.

Coming off the back of an FA Cup defeat to Nottingham Forest, Arsenal are preparing for their Carabao Cup semi final first leg against Liverpool.

Asked about team news, Arteta told the club’s website: “It is extremely volatile and uncertain, I don’t know what the situation is that we will have today or if it is different to yesterday.

“Obviously I cannot get into any detail with that.

“It is what it is, in the last week or so we lost so many players for many different reasons and we are trying to adapt to that.

“I will use the players that we have and make the most out of it.”
